Nicklas Bendtner said on talkSPORT (9:24am, October 20, 2020) that he is sad that Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil is not playing at the moment.
The former Arsenal forward played with Ozil during his time at the Gunners, and rates the German attacking midfielder highly.
The Dane admitted that it is difficult for him to see that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is not using the 32-year-old.
Bendtner said about Ozil on talkSPORT (9:24am, October 20, 2020): “Mesut was amazing. I think he is a phenomenal player. When I was there, at my time, he was a key factor in creating great results.
“Obviously it saddens me to see such a good player not playing football. What’s going on there I can’t quite comment about because I have no idea, but to see a talent like his not being used is very difficult.”

What to do with Mesut Ozil?
Ozil has not played for Arsenal since March, and the German has also been left out of the Gunners’ Europa League squad.
The Daily Mail has reported that Arteta has decided to omit the former Real Madrid star from the Premier League squad as well.
With the German out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, it seems that the 32-year-old will not play again for the Gunners.
The North London outfit are doing well without Ozil at the moment, and given the pressing game that Arteta likes, there is a case to be made that the German would not fit into this style.
