Newcastle United transfer consultant Nick Hammond wants Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) to sign El Bilal Toure rom Reims in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
Nick Hammond wants El Bilal Toure at Newcastle
As reported by Sky Sports earlier this month, Newcastle have hired former Reading and Celtic director of football Hammond on a short-term deal as a transfer consultant.
And it seems that Hammond is already active for the Magpies.
The Sun have reported that the Newcastle official is pushing for a bid from PIF for Reims striker El Bilal Toure.
The forward is said to be a potential star in Ligue 1, and Hammond wants the Magpies to bring him to St. James’ Park in the January transfer window.

What should PIF do?
Toure is only 20 years of age and is still developing and progressing as a footballer.
The forward has scored one goal and provided two assists in 10 Ligue 1 starts so far this season.
Toure has been deployed as a central forward, and his movement and link-up play is very good.
However, in our view, Toure is not what Newcastle need right now.
The Mali international is a player for the future.
And, in our opinion, Newcastle’s PIF need to focus on the here and now.
If Newcastle go for a striker, then they should sign one who is more experienced and more established so that they can make an immediate impact on the team’s quest to escape relegation.
