Celtic have hired Damien Duff as a coach.

Celtic have hired Damien Duff as a coach to work under manager Brendan Rodgers.
The move was confirmed by his former club Shamrock Rovers, where he worked with the academy.
In a thank you message, Rovers described Duff as a ‘young coach with exceptional potential’.
He has now been praised by Irish legend Niall Quinn, who claims to be a Celtic fan.

Quinn said: “Damien’s been working really hard with the kids at Shamrock.
“He went straight in, took the bull by the horns, and really made a name for himself.”
Duff retired from playing three years ago, ending his career at Shamrock.
After a spell coaching the academy, he is making the move to Celtic to take on a new challenge.
Quinn’s comments bode well that Duff will apply the same work ethic and determination in his new role, and go on to be a great success and valuable part of the staff.
