The 22-year-old has one goal and two assists in Russia’s opening two games and suits Manchester United perfectly.

Russia have been the surprise package of the 2018 World Cup so far, and Manchester United are reportedly after one of their young stars.
The hosts, who were tipped for failure by many, have won both their tournament openers, scoring eight times and conceding just once in what is the best start of any host nation in World Cup history.
Key to that has been 22-year-old Aleksandr Golovin, a forward-thinking central midfielder who has pulled the strings for Russia, scoring once and grabbing two assists, and appears to have caught the attention of the Red Devils.

According to the Mirror, United are one of a number of teams interested in the Russian, with Jose Mourinho having sung his praises during World Cup coverage.
United struggled at times last season to unlock defences, particularly when teams were sat deep, and Golovin’s intelligence and range of passing could prove useful in breaking teams down.
The CSKA Moscow play-maker also has an impressive work rate, which fits in with the Mourinho’s philosophy perfectly.

At 22, Golovin is by no means the finished product and the transfer would not be without its risks, but there can be few better places for his development than under the watchful eye of new coach Michael Carrick.
United should move for Golovin who, if developed right, could be a great asset for them in the future.
