Spurs have yet to make any additions to their squad this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino, Manager of Tottenham Hotspur shows appreciation to the fans after the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City at Wembley Stadium on May 13,...

Tottenham Hotspur kicked off their pre-season in style with a 6-0 win over Southend United in a behind closed doors friendly at Hotspur Way on Wednesday.

There were goals for Fernando Llorente, Lucas Moura, Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Erik Lamela, who grabbed a first-half hat-trick, but despite the positive result, Spurs fans only had one thing on their mind on Twitter following the game, their lack of transfer activity.

Despite the 9th of August closing date for the transfer window fast approaching, Mauricio Pochettino and David Levy have yet to add to the squad so far this summer.

With a number of players rumoured to be on their way out of Spurs in the window, the Argentine manager may need to bring in a number of replacements before it shuts.

Perhaps Pochettino’s greatest need is some additional attacking talent, as the drop in quality beyond the first choice front four of Harry Kane, Heung-Son Min, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen was noticeable last year.

The North London side were reported to be interested in Manchester United forward Anthony Martial earlier in the summer and more recently in Mexican World Cup star Hirving Lozano, but there has been no confirmed activity in either case.

Spurs fans are clearly worried about the lack of activity and took to Twitter following the Southend victory to voice their concern.
