Newcastle have not won a domestic trophy since 1955.

Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez has announced he will not prioritise either of the domestic cup competitions this season, and Toon fans have expressed their frustration over Twitter.
The Magpies travel to Nottingham Forest in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, a tie which the visitors should expect to win.
Yet, despite having not won a trophy since 1955, and having not progressed as far as the quarter-final stage in a domestic cup in the last 12 years, Benitez has made it clear where his priorities lie.
“It depends,” the Spaniard told the Newcastle Chronicle on his plans for the FA and Carabao Cup.
“What I’ll say this year is similar to last. It depends on the squad.
“If we don’t have any injuries and we can manage – we will try to compete. But the priority always has to be to stay in the Premier League.”

Benitez worked wonders last season, taking a squad which were considered by many as not above Championship quality to a 10th place Premier League finish.
However, a lack of financial backing has meant the 58-year-old was not able to improve his squad as much as he would have liked.
The Toon boss remains somewhat of a cult hero in the city, but his latest comments have not gone down well with some fans who would clearly prefer to see some more ambition.
