A leaked image indicates United have moved away from their classic all style.

The Manchester United home kit is one of the most iconic strips in world football but some Manchester United fans are not happy with what is rumoured to be the 2018/19 edition.

Footyheadlines, who have a history of leaking football kits early, posted a report with images of the strip that is believed to United’s home kit for the upcoming season.

The new shirt has moved away from last season’s more classic design, with the addition of a V-shaped neckline, three black stripes on the shoulders, and the bottom of the shirt fading from red into black.

Scott McTominay of Manchester United looks on during the Premier League match between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford on February 25, 2018 in Manchester, England.

The Footyheadlines report suggested the shirt would be matched up with black shorts and red and black shorts with a similar gradient to the shirt.

The Old Trafford faithful have not been impressed with the strip it appears their side will be wearing next year, with some of them taking to Twitter to vent their frustration.

Opinions can change and those fans may have a change of heart when they see the kit in action, but early signs don’t look great for the club’s kit designers.
