United are reportedly preparing a £50 million bid for the defender.

Harry Maguire was one of the success stories from England’s World Cup in Russia.
The centre-back helped the Three Lions to reach the semi-finals with some excellent performances, looking both dominant defensively and assured with the ball.
Such was the quality of his tournament, that the Leicester City defender appears to have caught the attention of some of England’s biggest clubs and, according to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are preparing a £50 million bid for the 25-year-old.
Maguire joined the Foxes from Hull City last summer for £17 million and had an impressive season at the King Power, helping his side to a ninth-placed finish in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho has been rumoured to be searching for a new centre-back for much of the summer, with Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld and new Barcelona Clément Lenglet signing reportedly at the top of their list.
United have struggled to find a solution at the centre of their defence since the Rio Ferdinand/Nemanja Vidic partnership was broken, and a partnership of Maguire alongside Eric Bailly, or should he improve at club level Victor Lindelof, could be the answer to that problem.

Though perhaps not quite of the same quality as Alderweireld yet, Maguire is 4 years his junior and would offer the Red Devils a long-term option.
Leicester have reportedly offered Maguire a new contract, but the pull of a club like United will surely win over Maguire and it appears that some of the Old Trafford faithful can’t wait to see him in a red shirt.
