The curly-haired Colombian suggested the defender should ‘mid-table’ Everton.

Following an extremely impressive World Cup campaign, Colombian centre-back Yerry Mina has reportedly become a hot prospect for a number of Premier League teams.
According to the Sun, the 23-year-old has attracted the attention of West Ham United, Leicester City and Everton, with the latter the bookies’ favourites to land the defender.
Mina joined Barcelona from Palmeiras in January for €11.8 million (£10.5 million) but has struggled to make an impact at the Camp Nou and is not thought to be in Ernesto Valverde’s plans.
The 1.94 metre Colombian international is a physical defender who is a threat from set pieces, having scored 6 goals in 15 appearances for his country, and could be a fabulous long-term solution at the back for Marco Silva.
Colombian legend Carlos Valderrama, however, doesn’t seem so keen on the move and in a conversation on El Pulso del Futbol on Radio Caracol (broadcast 1pm, 16 June) discouraged Mina from making the move to Goodison Park.

Valderrama said: “The Premier League is attractive but for me, the Champions League is the most prestigious. I don’t think Yerry should join a mid-table team like Everton.”
“Fatih Terim has a great record developing players if it were me I would pick Galatasaray.”
Everton fans were not too impressed by the curly-haired midfielder’s comments and took to Twitter to express their annoyance.
