Everton will welcome Rotherham United to Goodison Park in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

Everton have drawn Rotherham United in the second round of the Carabao Cup, and some excited Blues fans have called for Marco Silva to go all out to try and win the tournament this year.
The Toffees have not won any silverware since their FA Cup triumph in 1995 and with many of the top English teams often paying little attention to the Carabao Cup, it could be the club’s best shot at a trophy this season.
Morale is high at Goodison Park after the arrival of the new manager in the summer and a nearly £90 million flurry of summer signings that brought in some exciting talent, including Richarlison from Watford, Kurt Zouma from Chelsea and a trio of players from Barcelona.
The current strength of the Premier League top six means 7th place is the realistic target for Everton and without any European football, the Carabao Cup is one of just two bits of silverware the Toffees can win this season, the other being the FA Cup.
If Silva is to lead Everton to their first ever League Cup triumph they will first have to see off Rotherham United.

The Millers are back in the Championship after winning promotion from League One last season, and though many pundits tipped them for relegation at the start of the campaign, Silva shouldn’t underestimate them.
The Portuguese gaffer only has to think back to last season when his Watford side were knocked out of the tournament by Championship Bristol City.
Despite the competition regularly being viewed as a second-class domestic prize, some Everton fans took to Twitter to demand Silva go for it.
