The United fans were singing the Belgian striker’s praises.

Despite finding the net 27 times in his first season at Manchester United, Romelu Lukaku has not been a complete fan favourite.
The Belgian striker joined United for a fee of around £75 million in July 2017 and received his fair share of criticism during his first season at Old Trafford.

Fans criticised the 25-year-old for his inconsistent first touch, occasional sloppy build-up play and poor record against the Premier League’s top six.
Having struggled through some rough goalscoring form in late 2017, Lukaku put together an impressive finish to the season, helping United to second in the Premier League and winning over a large part of the Old Trafford faithful in the process.

The striker boasts an impressive international record, with his 38 goals in 70 appearances making him Belgium’s all-time top scorer at the age of just 25 and Lukaku has carried that his impressive international record into the World Cup.
The forward’s brace against Panama on Monday means he has scored 15 goals in his last 10 games for his country and left United fans singing his praises.
