Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a £35 million bid for the Mexican forward.

Mexican forward Hirving Lozano produced one of the breakout performances of the 2018 World Cup, exciting fans with his direct and fearless style of play.
Breakout tournament performances usually attract the attention of some of the world’s biggest clubs and, in Lozano’s case, it has been no different with a number of top sides reportedly in for the 22-year-old.
Teamtalk has reported that Tottenham Hotspur are turning their attention to the Mexico international and are preparing a €40 million (£35 million) bid.
Mauricio Pochettino and David Levy have yet to make any additions this summer, with the new Premier League transfer market closure date (9 August) fast approaching.
Heading into the summer, Spurs’ main needs were a central midfielder (especially if Moussa Dembele leaves as expected) and some reinforcements in the final third.
Beyond Pochettino’s first choice front four of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min there was a noticeable drop in attacking quality last season and, with the latter looking likely to miss the start of the season due to the Asia Games, a new forward should be Tottenham’s priority.

Last season in the Eredivisie, Lozano proved himself both a creator and a goalscorer, grabbing 17 goals and 11 assists for PSV Eindhoven and his blistering performance in Mexico’s 1-0 victory over Germany showed he can be unplayable at times.
Players like Memphis Depay have proved that a dominant season in the Dutch league does not ensure Premier League success, but Lozano’s performances both at club and international level have proven that he has raw talent and Pochettino could be the ideal coach to help him take the next step.
