United have struggled to find a solution at left-back since Patrice Evra left in 2014.

According to the Sun, Juventus left-back Alex Sandro has agreed to join Manchester United.
The report says that the Brazilian wants to move to Old Trafford this summer and the two clubs now need to agree on a fee, with the Bianconeri holding out for €60 million (£53m).
United have struggled to find a solution at left-back since Patrice Evra left the club in 2014, and with the jury seemingly still out on Luke Shaw and the 32-year-old Ashley Young not getting any younger the club needed to make a move sooner rather than later.

A forward-thinking defender who can also play on the left wing, Sandro is the swashbuckling style of full-back that United have had success with in the past.
The 27-year-old has won three Serie A titles and three Copa Italias since he joined Juventus from Porto for £23 million in 2015.

On top of being solid defensively, one of the Brazilian’s best attributes is his delivery, something which could prove useful with United boasting aerial threats like Romelu Lukaku, Marouane Fellaini, and Paul Pogba.
The Brazil international is comfortable playing in both a back four and a back five, giving Jose Mourinho the freedom to switch between multiple formations and tactics.
Often compared to Brazilian great Roberto Carlos, Sandro is a top-class player with experience playing in huge games against some of the world’s best players and United may finally have found a replacement for Evra if they can finalise the deal.
