We asked Chelsea fans in midweek who they would prefer their club to sign, given the choice. Read on for the verdict.
A bit like Brad Pitt being forced to choose between Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie, it’s a tough choice for Chelsea fans.
Of course in this case, neither Falcao nor Neymar are sure things, but both strikers have been linked with switches to Stamford Bridge in the past week.
Choosing between the two is a near impossible choice, but even with Chelsea’s riches, even the most optimistic fan would concede they are unlikely to sign both.
So we asked, who is top choice?
Was it 26-year-old Falcao, 10 goals in 7 games this season; or 22-year-old Neymar, 36 goals in 38 games in 2012.
Here are some comments from supporters;
“Falcao is prolific, strong and has proved he can compete in one the best leagues in La Liga, he should have no problem handling the physicality of the English Premier League. Neymar on the other hand will go on to be a great player, but will take him time to adapt to a European league.”
“Falcao without a doubt…the world’s best player after Messi”
“Neymar’s age gives the team an advantage, though signing both would be perfect.”
So, the result:
Falcao – 45 per cent
Neymar – 55 per cent
So the Brazilian wins the day, but let’s face it, if Chelsea sign either one, and it doesn’t matter who – they will be the real winners.
