West Brom’s Tony Pulis becomes the fifh Premier League boss to lose his job this season, after the ex-Everton and West Ham United pair, Craig Shakespeare and Frank de Boer.
Sacked Everton and West Ham United managers Ronald Koeman and Slaven Bilic feature on Sky Bet’s list of likely candidates to succeed Tony Pulis at West Bromwich Albion.
Pulis was dismissed by the Baggies on Monday morning, after Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea left them a point above the relegation places and without a win in 10 Premier League matches.
Northern Ireland’s Michael O’Neill (2/1), former England boss Sam Allardyce (9/4) and Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes (3/1) lead the early betting, but Koeman (10/1) and Bilic (12/1) should perhaps not be discounted, after leaving their respective roles at Everton and West Ham this autumn.
The pair have each led sides to top-half Premier League finishes, but found their most recent employers below West Brom at the time of their sackings.
Another former West Ham manager, Alan Pardew (8/1), Pulis’ assistant Gary Megson (10/1) and sacked Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare (14/1) – an ex-Baggies number two himself – make up the top eight Sky Bet candidates.
