A claim has been made that Tottenham Hotspur manager target Julian Nagelsmann has been called by Chelsea for an interview.

In fact, a report on Thursday stated that the German tactician favours a move to Stamford Bridge currently, despite being Daniel Levy’s No.1 target.

Now, the details behind the interview between Julian Nagelsmann and Chelsea have come to light amid his links to the Tottenham Hotspur manager job.

The former Bayern Munich boss remains one of the most well-respected managers in world football, with Joshua Kimmich branding him as an ‘outstanding coach’, as quoted by the Irish Independent.

Just as recently on Friday, journalist Alasdair Gold also mentioned that Nagelsmann is likelier to replace Frank Lampard than Cristian Stellini.

A new report by BILD has claimed that after his holiday ends, Tottenham manager target Julian Nagelsmann has been called by Chelsea to hold an interview about potentially taking over the job.

The scheduled chat is meant to give Nagelsmann a chance to present his ideas in place ad introduce himself to the higher-ups within the Blues camp.

HITC View: Tottenham should be very concerned

Regardless of the nightmarish season that Chelsea have had, the fact that they are willing to invest heavily into the squad unlike Tottenham in recent years could be a reason why manager Julian Nagelsmann was drawn to the interview in the first place.

Furthermore, the presence of technical director Christoph Vivell, who came straight from RB Leipzig could delight him about the structure in place at the club.

The same cannot be said about Spurs after Fabio Paratici’s 30-month ban as well as the fact that unlike their London-rivals, the club have simply been unsuccessful since 2008 and are yet to show ambition in the transfer market.
