Tottenham Hotspur want to form a three-man shortlist to replace Antonio Conte and Luis Enrique will be a target.

Tottenham to include Luis Enrique on shortlist

TalkSPORT today report that Tottenham are expected a ‘long process’ as they attempt to find a new manager.

However, it’s also suggested that Tottenham want a shortlist of three managers in place pretty soon.

It’s unclear whether Julian Nagelsmann will be included despite Tottenham’s interest after his Bayern Munich exit.

One name expected to be in the mix is Luis Enrique.

The report claims that Enrique will be included in the three-man shortlist for the Tottenham job.

This comes after The Athletic reported earlier in March that Enrique is a top candidate for Spurs.

Fabio Paratici is understood to be a big fan of Enrique and could now push to land him.

Enrique available amid Mauricio Pochettino praise

Tottenham fans will want to know if Mauricio Pochettino is on that shortlist, but his appointment seems unlikely at this point.

Pochettino is though a fan of Enrique.

The Argentinian told AS in November that he thinks Enrique is a ‘great coach’ and had always been impressed with the Spaniard.

Pochettino’s close friend Ivan De La Pena is a huge Enrique fan and it seems the former Spurs boss agrees.

Enrique, 52, is out of management right now having left Spain after the World Cup in Qatar.

Enrique did win a Champions League with Barcelona in 2015 and always brings an impressive style of play.

You do though have to question if Tottenham have the plays to play how Enrique would want.

Additionally, Enrique hasn’t been in club management since 2017 and Tottenham would be gambling on him fitting right back in.
