Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy thinks he can tempt Julian Nagelsmann to North London after backing away from Chelsea.
That is according to a report from TalkSPORT, who claim that Tottenham are now ready to revisit their interest in appointing Nagelsmann.
It’s claimed that Levy seriously believes that he can tempt Nagelsmann to Spurs despite the complete mess at the club right now.
Nagelsmann has pulled out of the race to become Chelsea manager despite looking like the favourite to replace Graham Potter.
Weeks of rumours have amounted to nothing and Chelsea are now somewhat ironically on the verge of appointing ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Nagelsmann is still a hot property on the market though and Tottenham now appear to be ramping up their interest in the German.
Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern Munich last month and was immediately linked with replacing Antonio Conte as Spurs manager.
Tottenham have shown a major interest in Nagelsmann over the years but a move to North London just hasn’t materialised.
Levy seemingly believes that now is the right time for Nagelsmann to head to Tottenham – despite all of their problems.

Julian Nagelsmann would be walking into chaos at Tottenham
It’s hard to imagine that Nagelsmann is viewing this Tottenham setup as his dream job.
Director of football Fabio Paratici has gone and you could hardly blame star striker Harry Kane for wanting to leave.
Sunday’s 6-1 thrashing at Newcastle United just showed the major problems Tottenham have created for themselves both and off the pitch.
Nagelsmann is a highly-regarded young coach who has just received his first major setback by losing his job at Bayern.
Joshua Kimmich still thinks that Nagelsmann is an ‘outstanding’ manager but Bayern felt he had to go.
The main thing for Nagelsmann now is to rebuild his reputation and not jump into a job with a high risk of failure.
Tottenham just seems like a huge gamble for a coach like Nagelsmann – even if Levy believes he can finally secure a deal.
