Tottenham Hotspur want Julian Nagelsmann but he is keen to ‘collect his thoughts’ after being sacked by Bayern Munich.
Tottenham have finally confirmed the departure of Antonio Conte as the Italian departed on Sunday night.
Spurs will go with Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason as a managerial duo until the end of the season.
Daniel Levy and co must start looking for a long-term manager right now though and one name stands out at the moment.
Fans may want Mauricio Pochettino but The Telegraph claimed on Friday that Spurs want talks with Julian Nagelsmann.
The German has been surprisingly sacked by Bayern Munich and Tottenham understandably want to talk to him.
However, The Telegraph now suggest that Nagelsmann wants some time to collect his thoughts and reflect on his Bayern exit.
This is the first sacking of the 35-year-old’s career and he understandably doesn’t want to jump right into another job.

Tottenham still have a great chance to land Julian Nagelsmann
This may actually work out well for Tottenham.
Spurs have already decided to leave Stellini and Mason in charge until the summer, giving Levy and co time to find the right man.
With just a couple of months of the season to go, there is time for Nagelsmann to have a break and think about how he can improve as a manager.
Tottenham won’t want to wait forever, but they surely won’t be put off by Nagelsmann wanting some time away from football.
It’s unclear who Tottenham’s top target is right now, and a host of names – such as Luis Enrique and even Mauricio Pochettino – have been linked.
Nagelsmann – hailed as ‘exceptional’ by Jurgen Klopp – is one of the most impressive names in the mix and may well love the chance to bounce back with Spurs this summer.
