Next Tottenham manager: Journalist suggests ‘best manager in the world’ is Spurs-bound

It has been claimed that Feyenoord are concerned about losing manager Arne Slot to Tottenham Hotspur or any other Premier League club.

With the Dutchman having rejected Leeds United in the past, it seems like the only English side he could join in the summer is Spurs.

As there remains a question mark over which manager Tottenham Hotspur should appoint, it seems like Arne Slot could be brought in next season.

The London-based club are having a horrific season, as a Champions League place seems impossible for them to attain whilst having gone another campaign without winning a trophy.

The club are in desperate need of a brand-new coach such as Slot, branded as the ‘best coach in the world’ by Alireza Jahanbaksh to make the cut for the top four in the following campaign.

Journalist Etienne Verhoeff has now claimed that Feyenoord are worried that Arne Slot could be set to become the next Tottenham manager.

“Yes, I think they’re holding their breath, they have every reason to. have been getting the feeling at Slot for some time that if a beautiful English club comes along that he feels ready for a top league”, he said on AD Voetbalpodcast.

If Feyenoord really believe that Arne Slot is exit-bound, one way or another, Tottenham should accelerate in their pursuit of appointing the highly-rated manager.

Of course, this does not mean that they instantly rule out the likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique, especially seeing that the pair have been shortlisted as the club’s two primary candidates, as per CM.

However, Spurs also need to realise that they need to bring in a new coach and quickly, to ensure he can handpick his transfer targets and have a full pre-season.

The last thing that Tottenham can afford to do is further delay such a huge decision, as they could be on the verge of losing out a spot in the ‘Big Six’ to the likes of Newcastle and Brighton.
