A claim has surfaced about Tottenham Hotspur manager target Vincent Kompany had a phone call with the Chelsea bosses.
This is a devastating piece of news for Spurs, as it was reported on Wednesday that those within the club believe he could be their very own Mikel Arteta.
While a section of Tottenham Hotspur fans may have even been buzzing about the links to Vincent Kompany, it seems Chelsea are hell-bent on appointing him as their next manager.
Nathan Gissing shares Vincent Kompany to Chelsea phone call details
The Burnley boss has been hailed as one of the most promising up-and-coming coaches in the entirety of Europe.
Leading the Clarets to promotion is one thing but making them one of the most attractive teams to watch in English football is another, and he has managed to do both.
Journalist Nathan Gissing, however had bad news for Tottenham Hotspur fans about Vincent Kompany and his phone call with Chelsea over becoming their brand-new manager.

“I understand Chelsea officials had a 3-hour call with him after last Saturday’s game against Brighton [last Saturday]”, he said on Twitter.
The question is, should Spurs fans be worried about this revelation?
HITC View: Tottenham could still appoint a bigger and better manager instead of Kompany
So far, Vincent Kompany has shown all the signs of being a top manager in the making, which would mean Tottenham have a reason to be upset and Chelsea may be on their way to a masterstroke of an appointment.
However, the likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique are on the market.
While the former has proven that he can build a project from the ground up and is incredibly tactically flexible, questioning the latter’s status as an elite coach would be bizarre.
The Kompany news may well sadden Tottenham fans but it is far from being all gloom and doom if the club bring in either of these managers
