Jamie Redknapp has said that he expects Brendan Rodgers to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.
It was claimed by journalist Graeme Bailey on Wednesday that the Northern Irishman could be the unlikely favourite to land the Spurs job as well.
While names such as Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique and Arne Slot have been touted for the Tottenham Hotspur manager job, Jamie Redknapp backs Brendan Rodgers, once branded as ‘unbelievable’ by Michail Antonio via Footballer’s Football Podcast to eventually bag it.
Jamie Redknapp expects Brendan Rodgers to become next Tottenham manager
The former Liverpool boss’ goodwill amongst fans and pundits alike is at an all-time low, with Leicester City sacking him this season after his side were languishing in 19th place.
It seems like several of the ex-Celtic boss’ longstanding critics feel vindicated about his demise.
However, Jamie Redknapp continues to remain a big believer in Brendan Rodgers as a manager and backs Tottenham to appoint him as their manager.

“It might just be a little bit early for him [Ryan Mason] at Tottenham. And it feels like a Nagelsmann, or a Brendan Rodgers will probably be the options”, he said on the Essential Football podcast.
“They tried to get Rodgers a few years ago and he didn’t end up coming but I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to talk to him. He’s out of work and I’m a big fan of Brendan Rodgers he’s a good manager.”
HITC View: Tottenham could aim a lot higher
Jamie Redknapp has a fair point when backing Brendan Rodgers as he would make for a quality appointment as the next Tottenham manager.
But with the likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique on the market, Spurs have no excuses if they potentially lowball themselves.
As terrific a coach as Rodgers is, Enrique is a truly world-class manager while Nagelsmann could be one of the most revolutionary tacticians the game could go on to see in the next decade.
