It has been claimed that Tottenham Hotspur manager target Julian Nagelsmann has withdrawn from the Chelsea job.

Less than a month ago, Daniel Levy was reportedly interested in bringing the former Bayern Munich boss to N17.

Considering a claim was made on Thursday that Julian Nagelsmann was unsure about becoming the next Chelsea manager, it seems as if Tottenham Hotspur have gained an advantage in their pursuit for a brand-new coach.

It was further stated that the German, branded as a ‘baby-faced mastermind’ by Bundesliga’s official website was being ‘pushed’ to join the London-based side.

Since Nagelsmann was abruptly given his marching orders at Bayern, his links to Spurs have been relentless.

Tottenham fans can perhaps rejoice about the fact that Fabrizio Romano has revealed in an exclusive that Julian Nagelsmann has indeed pulled out of the race to become the next Chelsea manager.

Furthermore, the Italian journalist described his call as the ‘final decision’, despite being a ‘top candidate’ for the role.

And after multiple rounds, the former RB Leipzig head coach has no intention to rekindle his interest as well.

HITC View: Golden opportunity presents itself for Tottenham

Considering Julian Nagelsmann seemed destined to become the next Chelsea manager, this is a dream update for Tottenham.

Taking into account how Todd Boehly uninhibitedly invests into his side, it was the popular view that the ex-Hoffenheim boss would prefer his spend-thrift tendencies than join a frugal club like Spurs.

However, now that the opportunity does present itself, Daniel Levy and the higher-ups at the club must appoint Nagelsmann.

The 35-year-old is one of the most innovative tacticians in world football and everywhere he has gone, he has managed to build smart, long-term projects that would allow his sides to sustain success.
