A claim has been made that Tottenham Hotspur manager target Mauricio Pochettino has made quite an impression at Chelsea.
It was reported on Friday that with Fabio Paratici not being particularly keen on the Argentine’s return, he could now have a higher chance of making his way to N17 due to his resignation.
While there is division amongst the Tottenham Hotspur fans about whether they want to see Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager, it may sting them the most to see him at Chelsea.
Tottenham manager target Pochettino is liked by Chelsea
The former Paris Saint-Germain boss’ stock was at an all-time high at Spurs, with Andros Townsend telling talkSPORT that he was ‘one of the best managers in the world, if not the best manager in the world’.
While that very opinion would raise a lot of eyebrows amongst fans and pundits alike, what cannot be argued is that he is a Tottenham legend and the job he did, regardless of a lack of silverware was extraordinary.
However, Tottenham Hotspur fans may be left seething as manager Mauricio Pochettino is seemingly liked by Chelsea, as per CBS journalist Ben Jacobs.

“Mauricio Pochettino would be a strong fit at Chelsea. Club sources have always maintained throughout the process to date no singular favourite has been determined, but with only three primary candidates left, it’s clear Pochettino has impressed in talks.”
HITC View: Tottenham should not be bothered whatsoever
Sure, it is understandable from a fan point of view why the club’s greatest ever manager potentially joining the Blues must be a hard pill to swallow.
But for Tottenham as a club, it should not particularly matter if Pochettino becomes the next Chelsea manager as the likes of Nagelsmann and Enrique are still available.
The latter is certainly a better coach than the ex-Southampton boss, while the German has also shown a tendency of building long-term projects.
