Former Norwich City manager Alex Neil is the newest name in contention to be Sunderland’s next manager, according to Sky Bet‘s latest odds.
The Scot is third favourite to replace David Moyes at the Stadium of Light, at 12/1, although he is some way behind current front-runners Derek McInnes and Nigel Clough.

Clough’s odds have drifted over the weekend, however, with the Burton Albion boss now at 5/1 from 2s.
McInnes on the other hand, appears to have tightened his grip on the position, with his odds cut from 4/5 to 2/5 in the space of three days.
Earlier this weekend, McInnes told the Daily Record it would take “something special” to lure him from Aberdeen, whom he led to the Scottish Cup final on Saturday.

And Neil could become a more prominent candidate should the 45-year-old opt to stay at Pittodrie.
Neil previously led Norwich into the Premier League within five months of his appointment, but was unable to get them back up after overseeing relegation in his first full campaign at Carrow Road.
