Victor Anichebe has suggested Richarlison to return to Everton, just a season after his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur was finalised.

The Brazilian forward has had a tough time of things in N17, as he has scored just one Premier League goal since joining the club in the summer.

Richarlison told to embrace Everton transfer next season

Seemingly, Victor Anichebe believes the best career step Richarlison could take after his disappointing first season at Tottenham Hotspur is to push for a transfer to Everton.

The 25-year-old has not set the world alight at Spurs to say the least, with a lack of playing time and injuries holding him back.

On the couple of occasions where the former Watford goalscorer has put the ball into the back of the net, his goals have been adjudged offside as well, which has not helped his case whatsoever.

After Richarlison replied to a post on the Everton Instagram page congratulating them on their 5-1 victory against Brighton, Victor Anichebe commented under his response, saying, “Next season if they stay up, come back! Pienaar did it.”

Branded as the ‘complete centre-forward’ by Carlo Ancelotti while speaking to Mundo Deportivo, the likelihood of such a move happening seems like a pipe dream for the Toffees.

HITC View: Richarlison cannot afford to leave Spurs this soon

If Richarlison does listen to Victor Anichebe and angles for a transfer to Everton, he will be deemed as a massive flop at Tottenham.

That does not do wonders for the World Cup sensation’s reputation, as he will likely be considered as a player that is simply not at the level to play for a ‘Big Six’ club.

With Son Heung-min’s decline this season and Harry Kane potentially exiting his boyhood club in the summer, he is likely to start much more often sooner rather than later.

Grabbing that opportunity and proving his worth is likelier to benefit Richarlison’s career and image rather than returning to Sean Dyche’s side at the first sign of adversity.
