While attention turns to Leicester City’s high profile vacancy, Rangers are still searching for their next manager.

Over the past 24 hours bookies have slashed the odds on Martin Jol landing the job, being cut into 7/1 with SkyBet.

Jol is now joint third favourite with Frank de Boer, narrowly behind Alex McLeish and Malky Mackay.

Jol is best known for spells in England with Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham.

He managed Spurs between 2004 and 2007 and Fulham from 2011 to 2013 with a spell at Ajax in between.

Jol most recently managed at Egyptian side Al Ahly, before quitting last summer due to security concerns.

The 61-year-old did win the title with Al Ahly in 2015/16, and has previously led Ajax to winning the Dutch KNVB Cup.

Behind Jol in the running is caretaker boss Graeme Murty (8/1), who will take charge of the side this evening against Inverness.

Alan Pardew, Derek McInnes and Dougie Freedman are next on the list with former player Barry Ferguson a 16/1 outsider.
