Nigel Clough has admitted that he would consider joining Nottingham Forest from Burton Albion.
Burton Albion Nigel Clough has become the heavy odds on favourite to become the next manager of Nottingham Forest.
Clough has admitted that he would consider an approach from Forest, and has now been listed as a 2/5 shot with Sky Bet to take over at the City Ground.
A number of different managers have been linked with the Forest job recently, with Barnsley’s Paul Heckingbottom, Gary Brazil and Gary Rowett all being listed as favourite to take over at once stage since Phillip Montanier’s departure.

However, Heckingbottom has stated that he is not interested in taking over, while Rowett is thought to be keen to listen to other offers.
Clough has now become a near certainty to take over at Forest, according to the bookmakers’ odds.

The 50-year-old boss has guided Burton Albion up from League One to the Championship, and currently has the Brewers sitting one place below Forest in the Championship standings.
If Clough does take over at Forest in the very near future, his first game in charge could come against Rotherham United on Tuesday evening.
