Fabrizio Romano has told AnfieldWatch that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will bid farewell to forward Divock Origi in the coming hours.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported this afternoon that Liverpool will say goodbye to Origi “in a definitive way” in the next few hours.
Romano has added that the Belgium international striker will fly to AC Milan to complete a move to the Italian champions on a free transfer
The journalist has further claimed that Origi has turned down clubs from the Premier League and the Bundesliga to move to Milan.
Divock Origi to leave Liverpool imminently
Romano wrote on AnfieldWatch: “Finally, in the next few hours Liverpool will say goodbye to Divock Origi in a definitive way. The Belgian striker will fly to Italy to sign with AC Milan.
“The contract has been ready and verbally agreed for months. Only the medical tests are missing to complete the transfer.
“Origi has also received proposals from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs, but his decision was clear: the new experience will be in Italy.”

Anfield exit makes sense
In our view, Divock Origi leaving Liverpool for good makes sense.
The Liverpool players have already given the striker a guard of honour.
And, based on Romano’s comments, it seems that an official announcement will come soon.
The 27-year-old striker scored some important goals in the Premier League and the Champions League for Liverpool over the years, but he has always been essentially a squad player at Anfield.
Milan have just won the Scudetto and will play in the Champions League next season.
Origi could become an important player for Milan next season.
The striker scored 22 goals in 107 appearances in the Premier League.
