According to Sky Sports, Everton are holding talks with Nuno Espirito Santo today in an attempt to land him as their new manager.
It’s claimed that majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri was impressed with Nuno at Wolves, and views him as an ideal fit for Everton’s squad.
Nuno allegedly has ‘strong support’ in the Everton boardroom, and is viewed as the ‘leading candidate’ to become the next Toffees boss.
Everton were left rocked on Tuesday as Carlo Ancelotti left to become Real Madrid boss, in a move that quickly went from rumour to confirmed.
Moshiri now needs to move quickly to find a new boss ahead of pre-season, and Nuno is emerging as the to choice.
Nuno parted ways with Wolves by mutual consent at the end of the season, bringing an end to four years at Molineux.

He won 95 of his 199 games in charge of Wolves, and mostly played a 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2, which he could now bring to Everton.
Crystal Palace have been in talks with Nuno for days in the hope of appointing him, but they may now miss out in a major blow.
