Tottenham Hotspur now face a fight for Oliver Glasner with Chelsea looking to make a move for the Eintracht Frankfurt boss.

Spurs should probably get used to hearing that Chelsea want their managerial targets.

The Blues sacked Graham Potter on Sunday night after just seven months in charge.

Todd Boehly and co are searching for a replacement and two managers linked with Tottenham – Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique – are now on Chelsea’s wish list.

That’s a bad situation for Tottenham and another manager on the Spurs radar is now wanted at Stamford Bridge.

Bild reporter Christian Falk reports that Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner is one of three key names on Chelsea’s shortlist.

The Austrian may not be quite as high-profile as Nagelsmann but he appears to be a real contender for the Blues job.

Tottenham have been chasing Oliver Glasner

Tottenham are chasing a manager of their own after parting ways with Antonio Conte.

Glasner appeared to be a key target for the job but Chelsea are now getting involved in the race.

Bild claimed in March that Tottenham have made an approach to Glasner’s representatives over a move to North London.

Sky Germany also suggested that Glasner has rejected Frankfurt’s first offer of a new contract; his current deal ends in 2024.

That will have been a boost for Tottenham but Chelsea’s interest now serves as a big problem.

Glasner has impressed in charge of Frankfurt, guiding them to the Europa League crown in 2022.

Recent form has been poor at Frankfurt, which has only added to the notion of him leaving the sixth-placed Bundesliga club.

Glasner seems to make more sense for Tottenham than Chelsea right now but Boehly’s millions talk and Spurs face a nervous wait over a number of targets with the Blues lurking.
