Tottenham Hotspur may now miss out on Luis Enrique as Chelsea make contact for his services – and he’s interested in the Blues job.
Spurs will be identifying potential manager targets having parted ways with Antonio Conte last week.
The problem for Tottenham now is that Chelsea have also made a managerial change, sacking Graham Potter on Sunday.
Chelsea are now targeting a number of the same managers – including Spaniard Enrique.
The Telegraph report that Chelsea have now made contact with Enrique as they weigh up a move to appoint him.
It’s stated that Enrique is interested in the job, but Julian Nagelsmann – another Spurs target – is in a similar boat.
Whilst Tottenham are going slow with their approach, Chelsea are moving quickly.
Cristian Stellini will be in charge until the end of the season barring a major change of heart for Daniel Levy and co.
Add in that Fabio Paratici has taken a step back from his duties as director of football and Tottenham are in a mess – a mess which could get worse if Chelsea land Enrique.

Fabio Paratici wanted Luis Enrique at Tottenham
Tottenham have been linked with a host of managers, even going back to when Conte was still in charge.
Enrique emerged as one of the key names and seemed to be a key target for Paratici.
The Athletic reported in March that Enrique was the frontrunner for the Spurs job as Paratici had been a fan of his for years.
TalkSPORT added last week that Enrique would be on Tottenham’s shortlist for the job as he looks to get back into management.
The problem for Spurs is that Paratici has now stepped back after being hit with a worldwide ban.
It’s therefore unlikely that Tottenham will be in a position to go and target and speak to Paratici’s top target whilst he is unable to fulfil his duties.
That gives Chelsea a real window of opportunity to go and land Enrique whilst Tottenham are in chaos.
Enrique is out of a job having left his post as Spain boss after the World Cup in Qatar.
Out of club management for six years now, Enrique would still be a risk for Tottenham or Chelsea as he looks to return to domestic football.
