Aston Villa are on the hunt for a new manager following Roberto Di Matteo’s dismissal, and Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner could be on their list.
David Wagner’s and Tim Sherwood’s odds to become Aston Villa’s next manager have both become shorter over night, while Steve Bruce has drifted slightly in the running.
Bruce was the odds-on favourite to land the Villa job yesterday, when the market started, but he is now rated as an 11/10 shot.
Huddersfield Town boss Wagner started out as a 5/1 outsider, but he is being backed heavily and has closed in to 5/2 now.
Sherwood, meanwhile, has seen his odds drop from 40/1 to 8/1 – after he confirmed that he would be interested in returning to Villa yesterday.
Also in consideration are Dean Smith (5/1), Steve Clarke (10/1) and Ryan Giggs (14/1).
