Rangers are being linked with a move to bring Mexer to Ibrox.

Rangers have already tied up three signings for next season, but Steven Gerrard isn’t slowing down in his pursuit of further arrivals.
The Gers are bringing in wingers Jordan Jones and Jake Hastie on pre-contract agreements from Kilmarnock and Motherwell, whilst Steven Davis will be making his move permanent.
Defensive reinforcements are absolutely imperative, given that Gareth McAuley will be leaving when his contract expires, and loanee Joe Worrall will be heading back to Nottingham Forest.
Defenders have been linked with Rangers for weeks now, and the strongest rumour so far involved Rennes centre back Mexer.
L’Equipe reported on Thursday night that Rangers boss Gerrard was spotted in Rennes for a meeting with Mexer, attempting to use the personal touch to tempt him into signing at Ibrox.
The 30-year-old is out of contract this summer, and having been left out of the Rennes side this weekend, many now believe that the Mozambique international will be heading to Glasgow.

If anyone wasn’t convinced about the reports surrounding Gerrard’s meeting with Mexer, there is now photographic proof of the pair being together last week.
Mozambique-based newspaper O Pais have released a photo of Gerrard posing with Mexer in France, meaning that the reports appear to be true.
It’s fairly clear that Mexer is now a top target for Gerrard, and Rangers will hope to fend off competition for his signature in a bargain move.
