The Rangers winger has been left out of Steven Gerrard’s Europa League squad, despite being among the scorers in Sunday’s friendly at Ibrox.

Some Rangers supporters are adamant that Daniel Candeias cannot play in their upcoming Europa League qualification double-header.
The Rangers winger was surprisingly left out of Steven Gerrard’s squad to face St Joseph’s of Gibraltar on Tuesday evening.
And there is a belief among the following Gers fans that Candeias remains suspended, having been sent off during last season’s group stage draw with Villarreal at Ibrox.
But Candeias was never shown a straight red card and was, therefore, only ineligible for Rangers’ next and final group stage game – the defeat at Rapid Vienna.
According to the Daily Record, the above has been confirmed to them by UEFA themselves.

And the newspaper states that the real reason for the Portuguese’s absence is in fact that Rangers have used up all their allocated spots for non-homegrown players.
Jon Flanagan and Jamie Murphy are also notable absentees, with the Gers forced to reduce their squad from 25 bodies to 22.
Should Candeias have made the cut for Rangers?
