RMC Sport are reporting this afternoon that Arsenal central defender William Saliba will not play against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
William Saliba out for Arsenal v Crystal Palace
The French news outlet has claimed that Saliba has a back injury, and that the Arsenal star will not be available for the London derby against Palace.
The £27 million (SkySport) defender suffered the injury while playing for Arsenal against Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.
“William Saliba (Arsenal) was injured on Thursday evening in the Europa League,” states the report. “The central defender gave up his place in the 21st minute.
“The news is not good in view of the exams passed by the player, who suffers with the back.
“He will not be in the group that will face Crystal Palace this Sunday.”
RMC Sport have added that Saliba could withdraw from the France squad for the upcoming international matches.

Blow for Arsenal
In our view, William Saliba’s injury will be a blow for Arsenal.
Yes, Crystal Palace are struggling at the moment, but Arsenal still need their best players to win the London derby.
Saliba has been superb at the back for the Gunners so far this season.
The France international has been a rock at the back for Mikel Arteta’s side.
We believe that Arsenal will miss the youngster against Palace.
Okay, Rob Holding could come in for Saliba and could do a job, but there is a reason why the French plays ahead of him.
Because he is better.
Arsenal fans will hope that Saliba will recover his fitness by the end of the international break so that he can resume playing for the Gunners from next month.
