Liverpool have been handed a major boost in the form of Thiago Alcantara.
With the international break coming up, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to see all of his national team players return to Merseyside in working order.
It’s been a poor season for the Reds so far, with Klopp’s side only winning three of their eight games across all competitions and a 4-1 Champions League defeat by Napoli highlighted just how much they’re not at the races.
However, news from Spain today indicates that Thiago will not be participating in Spain’s upcoming encounters against Switzerland and Portugal [The Echo].
And it’s a massive piece of good news for Liverpool.

The former Bayern Munich maestro has endured his fair share of injuries during his two-year spell at Anfield.
And having only recently returned from injury again, Klopp is heavily reliant on the player staying fit and without those two additional international games Thiago now has an extended recovery period.
Remember, Liverpool have a lot of midfield problems this season, with Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones all sidelined.
But their crisis is a lot more manageable if Thiago is available every week because, well, he’s an exceptional talent and one who makes Klopp’s side play much better.
And you won’t find a happier man on Merseyside now than Klopp in light of the news that one of his best players will not be participating in upcoming international outings.
Both he and every Liverpool supporter will be absolutely delighted with the omission.
