West Ham produced a stunning comeback in the EFL Trophy.

West Ham’s under-21 side made a remarkable comeback on Wednesday night against Newport County.
4-1 down at half-time, West Ham came back to win 5-4 to shock the home side.
Newport’s manager Michael Flynn was very complimentary about the young Hammers team.
He told the League Two side’s website: “Second half, I thought West Ham’s young team was exceptional, they passed us off the pitch, and they thoroughly deserved their win.
“It’s great to see some young players with good attitudes and I mean that in the right way because they showed it on the pitch.”
It is high praise and quite an admission from Flynn to say West Ham deserved the win.
West Ham fans should be encouraged to hear him praise the style of football from Dmitri Halajko’s side too.
Anthony Scully (2), Joe Powell, Veron Parkes and Kai Corbett scored West Ham’s goals in the victory.
Results like this one can lift the whole academy, and West Ham’s senior stars should watch it too, to build up some belief for when they next find themselves heading towards a defeat.
