Leeds United have reportedly parted company with Marcelo Bielsa.
There is no official announcement but talkSPORT reported on Saturday night that Bielsa had left his role as Leeds manager by mutual consent.
The Whites have just suffered a 4-0 defeat by Tottenham at Elland Road and have now conceded 20 goals in only five Premier League games.
To make matters worse, Bielsa’s troops are only two points clear of the relegation zone and having lost four of their last five outings, dropping down into the Championship is very possible on this form.
The 66-year-old is not only a legendary figure in West Yorkshire, but his native Argentina – and specifically Newell’s Old Boys.
Bielsa won a couple of league titles during his two-year spell with the Argentine outfit, having also represented them as a player.

Replacement
If it is indeed accurate that Bielsa has departed Elland Road, a replacement has already been sorted.
According to The Guardian, Leeds will be appointing Jesse Marsch as his successor.
Marsch, born in Wisconsin, has been out of work since being fired by Red Bull Leipzig earlier in the campaign but only secured that position after an excellent two-year spell as Salzburg’s manager.

If this is the end, Bielsa’s name will be forever associated with a period of success in West Yorkshire.
