After many changes at Newcastle this summer in terms of players, Anita is one of the group from last season’s relegated side who is determined to put things right.

Newcastle United midfielder Vurnon Anita is determined to right the wrongs of last season’s campaign which saw the club relegated from the Premier League, according to comments in the Chronicle.
There have been many changes from the side that lost the club’s top flight status as Rafa Benitez has put together a squad that will try and lead the squad back to the top flight at the first time of asking.
Many players have left in big money deals such as Georginio Wijnaldum, Andros Townsend and Moussa Sissoko but Anita seems determined to be part of the side that helps them back to where the club feels it belongs.

He is quoted in the Chronicle, saying: “As a player, you always want to play in the highest league.
“That was the case this time, but I’ve still got a contract here at Newcastle.
“I’m here and I’m giving my all.
“That’s a part of it as well (wanting to put right the relegation). I’m here and I’m doing more than my best.
“Hopefully, we can be champions this season and come up with Newcastle.”
Newcastle United Manager Rafael Benitez
Anita has demonstrated that he can be a useful asset to Rafa Benitez since the Spaniard arrived at the club towards the end of last season by playing in both a midfield role, and operating at full-back when called upon.
It is a very different squad for Newcastle this season but it is always important to maintain some kind of familiarity, even on the back of such a poor season, but if they have the motivation that Anita has then that can only be a good thing.
Despite the relegation last term, things have been pretty positive surrounding Newcastle as they have got to work on a massive rebuilding job, and started to establish a bit of momentum before the international break. The task will be to keep hold of that momentum following the break, and building a platform to kick on from between now and the end of the season.
