The Newcastle United forward has his scoring boots on this week.

Newcastle United’s senior strikers may be having trouble finding the back of the net but the same cannot be said for under-23 prospect Tom Heardman.
The 22-year-old was in brilliant form this week as he scored four in a 6-3 win over Swansea city’s next generation and, after that kind of performance, it will be interesting to see if Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez gives him a first-team shot in the future.

Heardman is not usually the most prolific of forwards but he appears to be building up a head of steam just when a breakthrough at St. James’ Park could be on the cards.
After all, Newcastle’s current form is leaving a lot to be desired and the Magpies could do with another striing option.

Benitez has appeared reluctant to give youth a chance in the past, as both Heardman and Adam Armstrong can testify. However needs must, especially with the festive fixtures on the horizon, and the 22-year-old has certainly done his prospects no harm at all.
Four goals in a single match is always an achievement, but sometimes the timing is everything and a fresh Newcastle hero could yet be born in early 2018.
