Newcastle United are reportedly keen on signing the Besiktas ace.

According to a report from Turkish media outlet Fotospor, Newcastle are on the verge of completing the signing Besiktas ace Oğuzhan Özyakup, and what a wonderful addition he could prove to be for Rafa Bentiez’s side.
The Turkish playmaker joined Besiktas from Arsenal in the summer of 2012, and he has really gone on to impress for the Super Lig outfit, chalking up an impressive 27 goals and 50 assists in 219 appearances – all from an orthodox central midfield role.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Gunners were keen on resigning Özyakup, and that in itself goes to prove how much of a coup the Magpies could could be on the verge of making.
The 25-year-old will add a much need level of creativity and guile to Newcastle’s engine room, if they manage to secure a deal for the Turk, and he could prove to be the signing to take them to another level.

Özyakup is cool and composed when in possession, and possesses a wonderful array of passing.That, combined with his expert vision would bring a real edge to the Toon’s build up play through the middle of the pitch.
Fotospor claim that Newcastle are prepared to meet his €15 million (£13.1 million) release clause, and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent business for the Tyneside outfit.
