Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has commented on tonight’s game against promotion rivals Norwich City.

Aleksandar Mitrovic often divides opinion among the footballing world, with some people thinking he has the talent to succeed and others believing that his attitude will eventually lead to his downfall. Whatever the case, there is no doubting his ability in front of goal. As reported by Eastern Daily Press, Mitrovic has commented on how badly he wants to continue his good record against Norwich tonight.
The striker has not started a game since the Magpies’ 6-0 demolition of Queens Park Rangers, increasing his desperation to make an impact for the team.
“I played two games against Norwich and scored three goals, so hopefully I will score again and help my team to win the game,” he is quoted as saying by the EDP.

“That’s what we want, and when we play at home, we have our fans behind us so we have to play a good game. The relationship between the players and fans is really close. They just want the players to fight and give everything on the pitch, and that’s the most important thing for them.
“You can see even if we lose a game and play good football, they will give applause, they will sing and keep singing all season.”
His history against the Canaries suggests they should be worried, however this Norwich side is in a league of their own right now as they lead the Championship table after nine games with no sign of slowing down. Benitez’s men have struggled to make St James’ Park a fortress so far this season and will see this game as a huge chance to make a statement.
