Should Newcastle United re-sign Mathieu Debuchy from Arsenal?

Newcastle United have been linked with making a surprise bid to re-sign Mathieu Debuchy.
The Star report Newcastle are preparing to try and bring Debuchy back to the club in January to strengthen their defence.
The Frenchman left to sign with Arsenal in 2014, and his career at the Gunners has not panned out, suffering injuries and losing his place to youngster Hector Bellerin.
Newcastle really have little need to try and tempt Debuchy back, thanks to the form of his replacement Daryl Janmaat.
Janmaat has been a bright spot for the Toon despite a woeful 2015 for the club, with his defending superior to Debuchy’s performances since signing.
The Dutchman has recorded more tackles per game and interceptions, while also offers more of a threat going forward, as evidenced by his crossing ability and five assists.
Unless Newcastle were preparing to cash in on the right-back, there would be little need to bring Debuchy back, nor would the Frenchman decide to go for it.
He is keen to win back his place in the France squad ahead of Euro 2016, and there would be little point in him swapping one bench for another.
