The Newcastle United defender is only focused on playing football.

Magpies skipper Jamaal Lascelles spoke exclusively to the Sunderland Echo, and responded to questions asking him for his opinion on any potential takeover at St James’ Park.
Current owner Mike Ashley has made his intentions to sell the club very clear, and many Newcastle fans believe that now is the time for their club to really kick on and make genuine progress.

Rafa Benitez’s side have begun their 2017/18 Premier League campaign in fine fashion, and currently sit comfortably in seventh position in the table, just two points adrift of the Champions League spots.
Lascelles, who has played in all nine Premier League games for his side thus far, continues to be a mainstay in the Magpies starting XI.
And the Newcastle captain shared what Benitez has told the players about any kind of potential takeover, as quoted by the Sunderland Echo:

“To be honest, we don’t really look into that. Whatever happens, happens. The manager just tells us to concentrate on football. We’re not going to be worried about the takeover. It’s just football. We’ll working hard for the next game. That’s all we can worry about it.”
Which set of fans are better, Newcastle or Liverpool? Benitez responds
The Tyneside outfit will certainly need to be 100 per cent focused on their games rather than any kind of takeover talk, especially with two huge games against Burnley and Bournemouth next up on the horizon before the international break.
And two wins from those games really will have Newcastle fans believing that anything is possible this season.
