Crystal Palace should make a move for the Newcastle United star.

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson will be determined to bolster his ranks at Selhurst Park this summer, in an effort to guide his side to a top 10 finish in the Premier League table this season.
One particular area where the 70-year-old obviously wants to strengthen is his midfield department, with a report from Sky Sports suggesting that the Eagles are interested in signing West Ham’s Cheikhou Kouyaté.
Even if Palace do sign the Hammers star, there will still be room for another midfield signing, and Hodgson should consider bringing Newcastle ace Isaac Hayden to Selhurst Park.
The 23-year-old is desperate to move back down south for family reasons, and Crystal Palace could be the ideal club for the Arsenal academy graduate.
Hayden is wonderfully versatile, and can operate in either the deep-lying midfield role or the centre-back position – something that would surely appeal to Hodgson.
Standing at 6ft 2in tall, the Newcastle ace is strong in the air, and he is also a superb reader of the game in the manner in which he anticipates danger.

He is comfortable in possession and he is a competent passer of the football.
Whilst Newcastle do not want to sell Hayden, the player’s desperation to leave surely leaves Rafa Benitez with little choice but to sanction his exit, and Palace should not hesitate to swoop in and bring the 23-year-old to south London.
