Isaac Hayden clearly likes what he has seen from Newcastle United’s Miguel Almiron.

Isaac Hayden has revealed to The Chronicle that Newcastle United team-mate Miguel Almiron is looking ‘top drawer’ in training so far.
Almiron could make his full debut for Newcastle against Huddersfield Town tomorrow, after joining the Magpies for a club-record £20 million last month.
Fans of the Tyneside outfit were given a brief glimpse of the Paraguayan playmaker in the 1-1 draw at Wolves 11 days ago.
The former Atlanta FC star was subjected to a rash challenge early on in his cameo at Molineux, and Hayden, linked with a £10 million move away from Newcastle last month [The Chronicle], reveals that he said ‘Welcome to English football’ to his new team-mate.
“He’s been top drawer in training,” Hayden told The Chronicle. “Especially for him, coming from a foreign country – and especially the MLS – it’s a completely different level.
“For him to come on against Wolves, he was a bit of a livewire and he showed what he could do. There was a strong tackle put in on him and I turned to him and said: ‘Welcome to English football.’
“He got up and was just smiling away. You can see in his eyes that he is really enjoying it, all this experience.”
Coming from an MLS side, Almiron will be given time to adapt, but the fact that he cost £20 million illustrates that he won’t be given that much time.
There is huge pressure on the 25-year-old to steer Newcastle – two places and one point above the relegation zone – away from danger and secure their Premier League status for another year.
