Newcastle United’s Achraf Lazaar has responded to rumours about his future, albeit in an ambiguous way.

Achraf Lazaar looks like he’s returning to Newcastle United this summer.
The Chronicle claimed on Wednesday that he has been frozen out of Benevento’s first-team in a development which hinders the likelyhood of the Italian side signing him up on a permanent basis.
And it looks like that report might be true, after the Morocco international posted a cryptic message on Instagram today.

Lazaar, a £3 million signing from Palermo in 2016, wrote, “I know what I want and I’m coming for it” alongside a number of pictures which show him training alone in a gym.
It could be an indicator that he is willing to fight for his Newcastle future, or it could suggest that the 26-year-old isn’t going to go down without a fight at Benevento.
Either way, Lazaar is clearly coming for something, but Newcastle fans might hope it’s not a first-team spot on Tyneside.
He managed only four Championship appearances last season – none from the start – and if Rafael Benitez didn’t deem him good enough for the Premier League on their return to the top flight, it seems unlikely that Lazaar is going to be starting for the Magpies in whichever league they’re plying their trade in next season.
