The striker has scored with regularity for Newcastle’s U23 side.

After enjoying a positive first half of 2017 which saw them earn promotion back to the Premier League, Newcastle have struggled in the second half of the year and now face a battle to preserve their top flight status.
At first-team level there haven’t been many consistent performers for Rafael Benitez’s side, but that certainly hasn’t been the case with regards to the U23 setup, with striker Luke Charman frequently catching the eye.

A hard-working forward who is strong physically, Charman enjoyed a productive year as he established himself as an important part of Newcastle’s U23 side.
Charman started the season in fine form as he scored in successive games against Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion before he added to his tally with a strike in a 2-2 draw against Norwich City.

The prospect proceeded to hit a brace and provide an assist in the 4-1 victory at home to Reading in November, further underlining his status as a very exciting prospect.
A loan spell may well be on the horizon for Charman in the New Year and he will hope that he will end 2018 as part of Newcastle’s first-team squad.
