The AC Milan forward is being monitored by Newcastle United, according to reports.
Magpies boss Rafa Benitez is desperately trying to bolster his attacking options at St James’ Park ahead of the start of the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.
According to the Evening Standard, Newcastle have expressed an interest in signing AC Milan hitman M’Baye Niang, who is valued at £18 million by the Italian giants.

If the Toon were to shell out that vast amount of money on the 22-year-old though, they could be making a serious error, as desperation seemingly creeps into their player recruitment strategy.
The France under-21 international has been far from prolific during his fledgling career thus far, scoring just 28 goals in 153 outings.
He also possesses a rather slight frame, despite standing at over 6ft tall, and there has to be serious questions asked as to whether his lightweight stature is suited to the robust nature of English football.
Niang spent the second half of last season on loan with Watford, and by no means covered himself in glory, scoring just twice in 16 appearances for the Hornets.
Benitez would surely be better served in targeting a forward who is Premier League proven, or at least one with a superior record to the goal-shy Frenchman, especially with the £18 million price-tag that is being touted for the Milan hitman.
